  1. These terms and conditions explain your rights and obligations in relation to this website located at www.duncombesawmill.co.uk and any goods purchased through this site.
  2. We may change the Terms at any time by posting such changes on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after notice of changes shall mean you are bound by the new terms.
  3. The content of and copyright in the Site is owned by or licensed to use. Your are permitted to view or print individual pages for your own personal use. Any other use must be with our prior written permission.
  4. We reserve the right to suspend, restrict or terminate your use of this Site at any time.
  5. We will try to ensure that information contained on this site is correct and up to date; however we cannot guarantee that this is the case and shall not be liable for inaccuracies or out of date information.
  6. To purchase from us you must be resident in the United Kingdom mainland, We cannot ship to locations outside of the United Kingdom mainland.
  7. The site and the goods sold through it are subject to change without notice and we reserve the right to improve, alter or modify designs without prior notification. We will inform you of any changes to the advertised goods prior to dispatch of such goods.
  8. We offer a 14 day money back guarantee on all our standard products, with the exception of any non-standard goods made to the customer’s specification. If you are unhappy with your goods you must inform us in writing (including fax or e-mail) within 14 days of receiving the goods and telephone us on 01439 770234. In order to receive a refund the goods must be returned unused, undamaged and, if possible, in their original packaging; together with your receipt. Returned items must be returned “as new” and in a resaleable condition. All goods should be returned to us at Duncombe Sawmill Ltd., Sawmill Lane, Helmsley, York YO62 5DQ.
  9. We are unable to accept cancellation of an order for any non standard products that are made to the customer’s specification. Our 14 day money back guarantee will not apply to these items either.
  10. For all non standard orders, the customer shall provide accurate dimensions and a description of the area for which the products are being made. We shall not be responsible for any mistakes that the customer makes in providing the measurements.
  11. Carriage costs will only be refunded if the item is faulty or if it differs in any way from the advertised goods. Returned carriage costs will only be refunded if the item is faulty or if it differs in any way from the advertised goods. Returned parcels remain the responsibility of the customer until they are received by us. If you would like to arrange for use to collect the returned item, return carriage costs will be deducted from any refund due.
  12. We will advise you of availability of goods at the time of ordering. Any specified period for delivery shall be deemed to commence once all details of the order and payment have been finalised. All delivery dates are subject to change.
  13. By placing an order you are agreeing to buy the goods and allowing us to use your personal details to supply the goods to you (including passing your details on to subcontractors and couriers where necessary).
  14. We are not obliged to supply the goods to you until we have accepted your order and received payment in full.
  15. All photographs, sizes, and specifications shown on the site or in our brochure  are issued to give an approximate idea of the goods described and are intended as a guide only.
  16. All prices are in British Pounds and exclude delivery and VAT unless stated. VAT is charged at 17.5%. Payment in full for the goods ordered will be made at the time of the order.
  17. We will not pass your details on to any third parties; however we may contact you from time to time with details of new products that we supply or relevant offers.  If you do not want to receive such information, please write to us. We will try to take all reasonable steps to protect your personal details; however we cannot guarantee the security of the data you disclose on-line and will not be responsible for any breach of security unless this is due to our negligence.
  18. We guarantee all our materials for a period of 1 year. In the case of damaged or defective goods, our guarantee covers the costs of replacing the defective product; however it does not cover consequential expenses incurred as a result of replacing the product, such as fitting and finishing costs. We will not accept any liability for any damage caused by incorrect assembly of fittings, incorrect hanging or lack of treatment to timber. We cannot accept any responsibility for small defects in timber which occur after the products have left the workshop due to the natural movement of timber.  For gates we are unable to give a warranty against splitting, shrinkage, or warping which are caused by natural reactions. We will not reimburse the cost of repairs to gates without prior consent; such repairs would invalidate the guarantee. The company guarantee will not cover twisting of gates where automation is fitted.
THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS TO AFFECT THE STATUTORY OR COMMON LAW RIGHTS OF THE PURCHASER.
